Dr. Seuss

We received one of those Scholastic Book Club order forms from Koa's school this week. I remember getting them in elementary school hoping that my mom would order something and then feeling so special when the books were delivered during class. I can't believe that I am now the mom looking at ordering books for my child - sometimes my life feels so unreal.

Anyway, I was looking at the books and noticed one that we have been reading a lot lately, 'One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish' by Dr. Seuss. Koa loves this book and can often be heard talking about boxing his Gox and answering fake phones with, "Hello! Hello! Can you hear me, Joe?"

What caught my attention when reading about one of our favorite books was the description: With Dr Seuss as your guide your sides will be splitting with laughter as you learn numbers, rhyme, opposites and colours! Now, we really like this book, but I don't think I was ever 'splitting with laughter' or really learning about numbers, etc. Maybe Scholastic has a different version than we do.

I'm pretty sure my sides were splitting by "blue shoes, red shoes." Hehe, strange thinking both of you are big enough to experience this already! What's next... homework!?
