Our table all decked out with yummy homemade snacks - cake, dairy-free/egg-free/nut-free cupcakes and cookies in the shape of golf club bags, Grandma Fay's blueberry jello (topping on side for those without allergies), fruit, crackers and cheese, sandwiches, and drinks:

Jesse (in the red shirt) was in charge of our gang of 8 kids under the age of 5. He began by telling everyone some basic rules, "Rule #1, no hitting each other or sword fighting with the clubs. Rule #2 wait for your turn . . ." Makoa interrupted, "And rule #3, let your ball stop before hitting it." He probably would have continued with more rules had we not all started laughing and one parent warned Jesse that he may be out of a job when Makoa turns 5 and begins working there!
Here they are at hole #1 :

My happy little golfer:

My happy little sleeper - she was out nearly the whole party:

After 2 rounds of golf it was cake time. We began singing "Happy Birthday" when Makoa stopped us, because it wasn't actually his birthday just his birthday party. So we began again, "Happy Birthday Party to you!"

Making a wish:

The masterpiece of a cake if I do say so myself - cake from a box, decorating by me!

Our fun group!

This birthday has become a week long celbration as Makoa will get to choose his dinner on Wednesday, his actual birthday, and day care will make him cupcakes and sing on Friday. What fun it is to turn 4!!
