Crafty Girl - Part 1

In effort to use up some of the material in my closet, save money, and get back into all things crafty, I have been having some fun with my sewing machine!

First projects, backpacks. Tasiana's toddler backpack fits perfectly, has no zipper so is easy for her to get into, and is made out of this gorgeous material I found last year.

Makoa was challenging my abilities to photograph a moving target, but you can mostly see that his has a zipper (salvaged from packaging material), a hoop for hanging, longer straps, and is made from fabric my friend sent from her trip to China. The pictures don't show much detail, but Makoa found it a month ago and loved the dragons and has been asking when I was going to make HIS backpack from HIS favorite fabric - well here it is in action!
