New Camera

I am catching up on a few posts as November (and most of December) was a super crazy busy month here at the Brown house.

First things first, I FINALLY have my new birthday camera!!!! Mom and Dad came to Australia for the 8th and 5th time, respectively, (wow!) and I took full advantage of the free shipping. I used the birthday money I received from Mom and Dad, Lois and Don, Grandma Rita and Grandma Z to buy a Nikon Coolpix S9100 and I am thrilled. Thanks family!!

My Nikon SLR D40 is wonderful, but too big for everyday and I really wanted the video feature. On the first day of playing with my new toy Makoa helped me try out the 'smile' feature where the camera automatically detects a smile and clicks. Wasn't quite focused properly - but it was my first day :)


Then tried out the black and white and close-up features on Tasiana.

And finally tested the 'Food' selection on the Halloween house we made (after Halloween to get the box 1/2 off!) and I think the camera captured the icing melting in the heat quite well!!


So happy with my new camera - yay!
