Bum in Green Jammies

Lying in bed with Makoa singing songs before bed I somehow found my self shouting "bum in green jammies" to the tune of 'Stand By Me.' Makoa has been getting bored of the usual songs: Twinkle, Twinkle, You Are My Sunshine, and Hush Little Baby. Lately we have been making up new songs (Don is much better than me at this) but when it is my turn I seem to sing lots of songs about boats, windows, and fish. Apparently while I was gone last night Don started singing 'This Little Light of Mine,' but I couldn't understand what Makoa was telling me so we had to call Don at work and get serenaded. Then it was my turn to come up with something new and while I was singing I heard Makoa singing too and as I finished he said, "bum in green jammies," hence, the new song of the night. Don took a cab home and walked in on Makoa rolling around on the bed, laughing hysterically, to my new song. Don's first thought after asking what we were doing . . . I guess he takes after his grandpa (yep, Dad, that's you!!) My thought, oh no, isn't 2 too young to start getting potty humor and laughing every time someone says bum or poop or pee? We've been hanging out with way too many boys (young and old).
