Last Sunday Makoa and I were up early due to it being the first morning after we 'fall back' with daylight savings. We decided to Skype with my mom, however, I don't think she expected to spend about two hours of her Saturday afternoon singing to her grandson! Makoa has a book of lullabies and he told my mom what songs to sing and in what order. The line up started included Hush Little Baby, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Baa Baa Black Sheep, and I'm a Nut (some song my mom knows which involves knocking your head - Makoa thinks it's hilarious). Mom must have sung these songs about 150 times each. (It's so tough being a grandma!) She tried many ways to try and distract Makoa so that she could at the very least sing different songs, and at last found a book to read and he got comfy on the couch with his blankie to listen.
