He is definitely my child

At first glance you might not immediately guess that I am Makoa's mother, Don as his father yes but it's not as obvious for me. But once you get to know the little fellow you will find that his personality is very similar to mine. He is very methodical, likes to laugh and be tickled, has to put everything "Away," likes rules, and his certain process of events. He also likes to "Go". This evening I came out of my bedroom to find Makoa had climbed in his stroller and started strapping himself in. (Let me also add that I then spent from 5:30-6 unbuckling the straps so that he could climb out and ask, "More?" Then climb back in and buckle again and again and again.) Makoa LOVES to go anywhere. He loves to be outside and play with other kids and see new things, just like his mother.

He also loves attention, yep, just like his mother! Yesterday I was very sick so Don worked from home. I was outside with Makoa watching him color the chairs with chalk and he peeked inside and yelled, "Non!" Apparently when I am with Makoa I call out Don's name in a kinda naggy voice, and he now has followed suit and daddy is now Non!! Anyway, he pulled Don outside to sit beside me in a chair so that we both could watch. If you could only see the light of excitement move across this child's face as he smiled and began to color. We had to laugh out loud as he looked to be saying, "This is the best day EVER!"

I'm so glad he likes to be out! At least there's hope he won't get stuck in front of a computer for the rest of his life :) So glad to hear there's the makings of another responsible Brown... ya'll are gaining some power now.
